Getting started

Fishing is for all the family. It provides a great opportunity for everyone to embrace the outdoors, enjoy and appreciate the environment, get in touch with and learn about nature. As a family it is something you can do and enjoy together in the fresh air. You can combine fishing with a family picnic, walk or holiday and it is great fun. One of the best things about fishing is that it is accessible. From as young as 9 (or 3ft 6") to any age, fishing is a fun, healthy outdoor activity.

Clubs thrive in the UK and offer youngsters the opportunity to lean about the rivers, lakes, canals, waterways and surrounding countryside whilst enjoying a challenging yet relaxing sport.

Getting Started - What will I need?

· Bait
· Rod Licence in the UK

We supply everything but the bait and rod licence.

Finding The Right Equipment

Our aim is to provide fishing tackle for everyone who wants to enjoy fishing if they are 9 or 90.

Children starting to fish - If their height is 3ft 6ins to 4ft 6ins (107cms to 137cms) then we suggest a telescopic rod from 6ft to 10ft (1.8m to 3m) in length.

Adults starting to fish - We suggest starting with a telescopic rod about 10ft (3m) in length.
